PWCAC.ORG's goal is to function as an independent, citizen directed, community action group working in concert with all aspects of the city of Prescott, and doing it one project at a time.

Since launching PWCAC.ORG we have successfully launched the following projects:

A special thanks is due to one member of our community who was totally responsible for this project.

PWCAC's second projects was also small but like our first project, it will safe guard walkers on Broad Street for years to come.

PWCAC heard that the city of Prescott wanted to purchase four crosswalk safety signs at a cost of $350.00 each. They also learned that the Crazy Days Committee committed to purchase two of the four needed signs. PWCAC found a sponsor who agreed to purchase the third sign, leaving the city with the need to purchasing only one sign.

PWCAC was pleased to get involved with the Prescott flower committee this Spring. Several PWCAC members assisted the 'flower committee" by planting several of the large, attractive flower planters located in various locations in downtown Prescott as well as along
The River Walkway.

PWCAC realized that with the passing of the "No Smoking" law, the downtown streets in Prescott likely would be inundated with cigar butts unless some receptacles were provided for our citizens and guests to use. Consequently, PWCAC furnished the city with these receptacles and the city distributed them around town.

PWCAC became acutely aware that there wasn't any designated small battery recycling centers in Prescott.

With that thought in mind, PWCAC has placed a battery recycling box at the BP Store on Broad and Cherry and another in the entry way at
PTACEK'S IGA
